Gravity

1. The Fabric of the Cosmos 1 - What is Space 2. Gravity Visualized

If an object with comparable mass to that of the Earth were to fall towards it, then the corresponding acceleration of the Earth would be observable.

Possible event

Comet come in the Earth direction, gravity work pulling the earth and comet togeter, because of they greater mass they will atract each other, leaving the moon behind at the impact
Icy body comet

around 1/5 of
old Earts mass

The comet path is in the same direction of the earts orbit, in the melting way back for the sun, the comet strike will be more like a fusion crash them a blasting front crash

The nucleus of the comet breaks in trought the crust of Earth, increasing it's size and mass, and the melted body of the comet splashes on the surface of Earth, creating a big flood
Right after impact, due to the comet push upon the Earth, the moon will shift positon, to become between the comet tail and Earth, taking the hit of most comet debri trail

Earth before comet
Earth after comet
Changes on Earth
Increase of mass leading to stronger gravitational force on Earth
Slower rotation and further from the sun
Lengthening days, years and seasons
Shift in the Earth rotation angle
